Beyond Positive Thinking Ministries History, Vision, and Mission Statement
Beyond Positive Thinking Ministries conducts motivational and inspirational seminars and workshops for churches, businesses, associations, and civic organizations that focus on success and motivation in the Scriptures.
Beyond Positive Thinking Ministries was founded by Jim Collins. Jim grew up in a Christian home, but he felt, as many of us did before we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, that there was something missing in his spiritual life. In an effort to get better acquainted with God, Jim began listening to the Bible on cassette tape. At the same time, Jim met his business mentor, who invited Jim to be a partner in his business. Jim’s mentor stressed the importance of reading and listening to motivational, inspirational and educational material. After reading and listening to hundreds of motivational books and tapes, Jim found that many of the ideas that the positive thinking gurus were espousing were simply biblical truths that would work for anybody who used them.
Jim set out to teach these biblical principles to anyone who would listen, and the results were life-changing. After three years of ministry work, and after giving numerous lectures and Bible studies, Jim accumulated the content for his first book, “Beyond Positive Thinking: Success and Motivation in the Scriptures.” There are 10 forthcoming books that complete the Beyond Positive Thinking series of books.
Jim embraced the truth that positive thinking is simply the world’s term for what God calls “Faith.”
Jim realized he was called into the ministry to teach the timeless principles of God’s Word concerning Success and Motivation in the Scriptures. He does this through his weekly Success Scripture e-zine, through his daily radio show, through his Beyond Positive Thinking books and CD’s, through his monthly Partner letters, and through his power-packed speaking engagements.
The vision of Beyond Positive Thinking Ministries is clear. Our objective is to teach people how to tap into the Force that created the universe by showing them who they are, what they have, and what they can do because they are in Christ Jesus.
